SWP are involved with the development of the Rye Discovery Centre for Sussex Wildlife Trust. We are pleased to be working to ensure a sustainable solution to all parties with complex construction programming to ensure that all wildlife and plant life have minimum impact.
The project is also looking to use locally sourced products for construction materials and this will include Sweet Chestnut timber for the superstructure to the building. The foundations will be piled to suit the proposed raised ground levels.
Civil engineering works will require a flood risk assessment and drainage strategy, to set the proposed floor levels above the predicted flood water risk.
