SWP are pleased to announce that Craig Searle has officially become a member of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT).

With almost 5 years of experience at SWP, Craig has been involved in numerous projects focused on a range of schemes. He has worked on several challenging highways projects, balancing road safety, cost, and buildability.

“My favourite job so far, although probably one of the smallest was to extend a footpath and install an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing in the centre of Shoreham-by-Sea. The crossing was part of a redevelopment for a nursery and was completed under a S278/S38 agreement. When I go past it each morning on the way to the office, it is great seeing parents and their children using it to safely cross the road.”

The Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) is a leading organization for professionals in the transport sector, offering qualifications, training, and networking opportunities to help shape the future of transport.

As well as recently obtaining membership status of CIHT, Craig is also close to obtaining professional recognition as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) through the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
