We are pleased to have been appointed by Langham Homes on this apartment building project with underground parking. Situated on the corner of two busy roads, the proposal was to create a basement parking level tight to the boundaries with apartments above.
The superstructure was to be reinforced concrete flat slab with slim columns located in party walls.
The ground floor level was to be a podium transfer slab above the car park and foundations. The substructure was to be piled with contiguous bored piled retaining walls.
The civil engineering drainage design consisted of the foul water discharging to a main sewer and the surface water discharging to an attenuation tank and then main sewer. Some of the low level drainage required pumping back up to road level to discharge under gravity.
External works hard landscaping civil engineering was to be limited due to the space on site. A new site access and ramp were required.
Site works have now started on this interesting project and more updates will follow.
